Open Mic Night 15 has no theme—poor thing—so bring whatever* poetry, stories, spoken word and songs you have, and knock our socks off.
Not familiar with how this works?
Write CY’s Open Mic Nights have been happening for three years at Prozak Kafeneio, and we don’t intend to stop any time soon.
The rules are simple.
You stand in front of the microphone and tell us a story of some kind. It can be personal and real, or outrageous and totally made up. You can sing it, recite it, dance it (with words or grunts). You can lecture us or confess to us. You can make us cringe, make us cry or make us laugh. You can even make us clap and celebrate your genius. As long as what you have to say is original, i.e. not copied from anyone else, you can tell us almost anything.
You have five minutes of our time. After that a big hole will open up in the floor of Prozak and a little green devil will suck you down to hell.
Marilena Zackheos, aka the emcee “who put the boob in boobage” (not my words, hers), will be back, though probably in her street clothes. Plus all your favorite friends and oddballs, and hopefully some new faces.
*Do not bring us anything that will cause us to cover our ears in shame and/or chase you out of the room with pitchforks or flamethrowers.
