A LEAP OF FAITH (AND A MINI SALT WATER COLONOSCOPY)
We like to keep it real at Open Mic Night, so when performance artist Andri Loizides took the stage to describe the thrilling moment of actually jumping from the cliff of Cavo Greco, we were relieved to hear that in addition to heroics—and a millisecond or two of regret—when you land, "water shoots up everywhere." Recorded live at Open Mic Night 7 at Prozak Kafeneio 21.12.16.
Andri Loizides was born and raised in Nicosia, Cyprus and went on to study in the U.K. After finishing an undergraduate degree in English & American Literature and a master’s in Physical Acting (both from the University of Kent), she is now exploring a few ways she can creatively contribute to this world. Through attending different kinds of workshops, acting, singing and dance classes, she is constantly learning more about herself and about the world we live in. She loves hearing stories as well as telling stories through different mediums of performance and is constantly exploring the different ways stories can be told, whether through film, theatre, song or even stand-up comedy.
